Cibolo Nature Center
The Cibolo Nature Center is located 30 miles northwest of San Antonio. The current campus includes a 100-acre wilderness preserve with hiking trails among four distinct ecosystems, and a 56-acre historic farm adjacent to the Cibolo Creek. The Cibolo Nature Center will be offering quarterly education classes about sustainable building beginning 4th Quarter 2008. Topics include Active & Passive Solar, Sustainable Building Materials & Methods, Rainwater Harvesting, Gray Water Capture & Re-use, Geo-thermal, LEED for Residential Certification and Health & Safety. Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District
The Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District was created for the purpose of conserving, preserving, recharging, protecting and preventing waste of groundwater from the aquifers within Kendall County.
